Modular 5 channel amplifier

The Modulare will be a user configurable 5-channel amplifier. Users will be able to chose modules of 3 different power ratings (100W, 250 W, 500 W; 8 ohm rating) for each individual channel. The user can configure them in any arrangement that suits their needs. The modules will be able to be removed at will, either for upgrades, or in the unlikely event of a module failure. It will not be necessary to do anything other than to remove the front panel, disconnect the module in question (input, output, AC power connections) and remove it. It will not entail turning off the other channels, or removing the entire amplifier from service.

Ease of installation was key in the design of the amplifier. It is lightweight, compared to traditional 5-channel amps. It will have a rack mountable option. Speakon connectors for the speaker connections are used for both their reliability and ease of use. Input connections, via RCA jacks, are located directly above the speaker connection for each channel. No more having to fumble in closed spaces, counting over the numbers of connectors, and wondering if the numbering scheme is "top is left", or "top is right". As with all of our Class D amplifiers, the inputs are transformer coupled, to eliminate ground loops and prevent stray RF energy from degrading the sonic performance.
