Water Conservation and Lawn Irrigation Specialists
Water restrictions are becoming a reality for the entire Dallas-Fort Worth area. Homeowners are struggling to keep their lawns adequately watered, while at the same time avoiding excessive water bills. One-day-per-week watering restrictions are intended to reduce water consumption, but they always have the opposite effect. Despite that, the typical homeowner does not have the necessary expertise needed to work within these limitations, while maintaining a healthy and attractive lawn.

Most licensed irrigators are more than capable of replacing broken heads and repairing broken pipes and valves. However, their business model does not allow for specialised services, such as water conservation, efficient irrigation schedules and minimising the run-off problems associated with our heavy clay soils.
In fact, we know of irrigators who have are having difficulty keeping their yards green with the present water restrictions.
|
Our approach is much different than that of the typical irrigation contractor. They are in the business of maximising the number of service calls that they can complete in any given day.
We do not operate under those conditions. We are in the business of providing a specialised service, designed to not only maintain a vibrant lawn, but do so with an eye towards efficiency.
Efficient watering schedules, coupled with techniques designed to deal with watering heavy clay soils, as well as watering restrictions.

We would like to demonstrate our capabilities to you. Please contact us for a free analysis of your system. We can then discuss with you the approach we would recommend for your situation. Of course, if you are in need of minor repair work, we will be more than pleased to fill your needs. Not only do we offer services that most other irrigators can not or will not offer, we perform all work as if it were done on our personal residence. And with our money. Most of our competitors are eager to dig up your yard, fix your problem, hand you a bill (and what a bill!, in most cases), and then run off to their next appointment.
|
We go out of our way to make sure we leave your yard looking as good as when we arrived, and not the big mound of dirt and mangled sod that many others will.
We are homeowners just as you are, and we would not want our lawns left in that condition. There is no reason why you should have to accept it, either.

Irrigation work is not inexpensive. It is generally billed on a per-hour basis. However, we will not attempt to persuade anyone into more work than we absolutely feel is necessary.
Yes, we are in business to make a profit, but we feel we will be more successful if we treat the customer as if it is our money that is being spent, and not "monopoly money", owned by someone else.
|
We hope that you consider us for your lawn irrigation work. We are confident that you will be pleased with not only our level of expertise, but our approach to customer relations.

Just as a bit of information, that many of you may find helpful:
We recently did an irrigation audit for a customer, who felt that they were using too much water. They used 30,000 gallons the previous month.
Actually, that figure is just about right for a lawn of their size in the Dalls-Fort Worth area. Which in their case is 7000 sq. ft. This, of course assumes
that there is no rainfall ( is there ever any rainfall in the summer?.....with the obvious exception of 2004), and a daily "ET number" of 0.28, as can be expected in the peak summer months.
While their usage turned out to not be excessive, we found that some areas were over-watered, while others were under-watered. Even though we were not
able to generate any appreciable savings, we were able to help their lawn look greener, fuller, and still be healthy enough to withstand the remainder of the hot summer.
And do so within the strict watering limits presently in force in Plano.
"What is a water (irrigation) audit?", you ask. Good question. We perform water audits using 2 different levels of measurements.
Level One Audit: We measure the area covered by each zone, and the amount of water that flows in each zone. We use this data to come up with a precipitation estimate, which can be used to produce a very good irrigation schedule. If you have rotors in your lawn, this is a must in order to obtain any sort of reasonable irrigation schedule. While not as precise as a Level Two Audit, it is generally sufficient for the average homeowner that desires a healthy, green lawn without an excessive water bill
Level Two Audit: Recommended for heavy water users, such as churches and large common areas. This level involves using catch-cans in order to accurately determine how much water actually falls in any given zone (Level One only says how much water was used, but does not take into account how much is lost in the atmosphere before it hits the ground.) In addition, a distribution uniformity profile is calculated, that show what areas in the zone get more (or usually less) than is expected. This method gives us much finer control over the watering schedule. If your church has an annual irrigation bill of $300,000, you would very quickly recover the fee for the one day of our time it would take to audit your property.
Ok......it would probably take more than one day for us to audit the church I have in mind. Regardless, I think you get the idea. I probably ought to point out that in order to do any type of irrigation audit, the system must be in full working condition.
